Stainless doorway
The doorway is the most susceptible to stress and corrosion. Most European manufacturers use stainless steel to make openings. In the doorways of our vans, only stainless steel is used, while optionally for the chassis with a gross weight of 7.5 tons, the profile of the opening can be used not with one but with two torsional stiffeners in the transverse plane. "This is especially true for vehicles operating in off-road conditions, when significant torques act on both the frame and the van.
Accessories
For our vans, we use accessories from a reliable and trusted manufacturer from Spain. Neither the quality of the zinc coating, nor the quality of stainless steel, nor the reasonable design of the door lock or hinges, caused us complaints for the entire time of cooperation. "For C1 vans, we use galvanized bar locks and hinges, and for C2 and C3 configurations - stainless steel.
Door seal
Rubber door seals around the perimeter are made in the most optimal way: the seal petals are placed in an aluminum profile, allowing them to be replaced as they wear out without disassembling the door itself. The thermal break installed in the aluminum profile eliminates the freezing of the door perimeter and the penetration of cold from the street into the van.
Plastic
In the C3 configuration, the external and internal coating of the panels is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic manufactured by OPTIPLAN GmbH. The thickness and density of the material were selected by our engineers taking into account the peculiarities of Russian realities.
Plastic has several advantages over clad metal and aluminum. For example, this material:
- does not corrode during mechanical damage (the thickness of the paint and zinc coating of the metal is 0.05 mm: only half a millimeter separates steel from rust);
- scratches are not visible on it, because throughout its thickness it has the same color as on the front side (steel and aluminum are painted);
- does not conduct electricity;
- does not heat up in the sun (in the warm season, staying in a plastic van is more comfortable than in a steel one).
MS polymers
We prefer only MS polymers. This type of sealant is a symbiosis of the best characteristics of silicone and polyurethane analogues, that is, excellent adhesion and high resistance.
Installation for applying glue to the wagon harness
The production process at the PROMAVTO Plant involves applying glue to the vagon strapping in an automatic mode, which minimizes the influence of the human factor. The special design of the applicator ensures uniform distribution of the adhesive over the surface with a positioning accuracy of ± 0.5 mm.
Steel splashers Domar
As a standard, we install domestic plastic splashers, but, unfortunately, they are quite short-lived. That is why we offer our customers to pay extra for Italian quality - Domar steel splashers. Domar splashers are made of galvanized or stainless steel.
Sun protection
In all configurations of vans offered by us, except for a K, the roof has white color. This has a positive effect on the temperature inside the kung and on the comfort of passengers inside the van, especially during sultry daytime hours. Many van builders we know save and clad the roof with unpainted galvanized steel. According to the diagram above, it heats more than white steel.
